January 19th was Andy's birthday and he turned 24! (Looking at these pictures I didn't do a very good job documenting the day, =( I didn't even take any pictures of him opening present, Next year I will do better) So since he was turning 24 and there are 24 hours in the day I decided to do a present for him every hour of the day, some presents were just small but I think he really liked it! Originally I was going to give him his "big" present the hour he was born but when his mom said he was born in the 4am hour I decided against that idea haha. Andy and I both worked that day so when he got up I let him open his presents for the morning. Then he took two of his presents to open at work. I luckily only had to work half a day so I was able to take him a cake to work! One of the nurses at his work bought pizza for them to have for lunch in honor of his birthday, I am so glad that since he had to work on his birthday that he has such awesome co-workers to celebrate with! When he got home from work he got to open the presents he missed while he was at work! Then we headed to dinner at Chili's with our families! It was the day that they donated the money spent there to the Ogden Police Department so we killed two birds with one stone! After Dinner we headed to Toads Fun Center and played arcade games, laser tag, and mini golf! Then we headed back home and Andy finished opening his presents! It was a fun day and I am so grateful for all the family that came to help us celebrate!! Happy Birthday to the most Amazing guy ever!! I love you Andy Jay!!

Twenty Two!

January 3rd was my birthday and I turned 22! Andy planned out the day and it was so much fun and relaxing! He was so sweet and took the day off to spend it with me! First we got to sleep in together, which was heaven since it doesn't happen much! Then we went and saw the movie We bought a Zoo, it was very cute! Then we went to lunch at Applebees. For the rest of the day we just came home and relaxed and watched movies and cuddled! It was so nice, Andy did a great job making my birthday perfect!! Here are some pictures of me opening my presents, I don't look the greatest but it was like one in the morning and we were getting ready for bed.

I have been finding lots of things on pinterest that I want to make and so Andy got me a craft bag to put all my stuff in! It is so nice and has lots of pockets!

Despite the look on my face I really was excited for the hot glue gun, I always have to go to my moms and borrow hers when I need one!

Modge Podge!! This is one of the best gifts ever, you can use it on some many things!

Yay, present time!! I also got a gift card to walmart to get whatever other things I wanted for making crafts! Thanks Andy for making my birthday so wonderful!!

2011 Recap!

I said reeeeecap! (Anyone listen to KBull 93? haha)

2011 was a great year for us! Here are somethings that happened:

January we both celebrated our birthdays! We also went ice fishing and it was my first time going!

February:

I guess nothing to exciting happened cause I didn't have any pictures.

March: Over Spring break we went up and stayed in the Lake Powell room at The Anniversary Inn, it was so much fun and a nice little getaway!

April: We welcomed two new nieces into the family!

May:
We enjoyed a break from school!

June: We found out that I was pregnant and we would be welcoming a new baby into our family in February! Best news ever, we were and still are so excited!

July: We went on camping trips with each of our families!

August: We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary and found out that we would be having a sweet baby boy!

September: Andy ate lots of shrimp at Red Lobster for their all you can eat shrimp fest and won the annual contest his family has! This year my parents were able to come with us!

October: We welcomed another sweet niece into our family!

November:

Again no picture! Celebrated Thanksgiving with our family and did the black friday shopping!

December: We both graduated with our associates and had a wonderful relaxing Christmas together!

We are sad to see 2011 go but so excited to see what 2012 has in store for us and for the birth of out sweet Baby Dayton!

Dayton is so lucky to have such a sweet cousin like Addisyn! She loves him so much already! I wanted to write about some of the cute things she said so I can remember them and so I can tell Dayton when he gets older!

This is a picture of Addi with cupcake on her face when she ate the cupcake to find out it was a boy that we are having!

~Addi asked what we were naming him and I told her Dayton Eli Edwards. She kept repeating it a couple of times and then said: "You will have to remind me because my brain is not going to remember that" She asked me the next few times what his name was again and now she has it down.

~When I first got pregnant I asked Addi to massage my feet, At first she said no, and so I told her the baby would like it, then she agreed. While she was massaging them she asked:"Is the baby liking it?"

~I was playing basketball at the family Christmas party and Addi told me that I needed to be careful with Dayton.

~On Christmas we had the door open and Addi said we better close it cause Dayton would get cold.

~I walked away from Addi on Christmas and she comes up to me and says "umm...I was talking to Dayton" Then she turns to my belly and says " I can't wait for you to get here, You are going to be such a cute baby, I mean a handsome baby. Well I got to go do my mission now"

She is so dang cute with him, I love how much she loves him already!

I love making gingerbread houses! Its my favorite to make them out of graham crackers because then you can be creative and make them however you want! We made some at Andy's parents house and then Andy helped me make one at my friends Christmas Party!

This Christmas was so wonderful, I loved getting to spend so much time with Andy and with our families! We really are so blessed to have such amazing families that love us so much and that all get along! This year we decided to not try to make it everywhere and it made it so nice to have time to relax and time with just the two of us! I am so grateful for Christ and the true meaning behind Christmas! We really are so spoiled to have the gospel in our lives, our eternal marriage, our sweet baby boy on the way, and our amazing families! The presents this year were just an added bonus to all the other blessing we have been given!

After going home after the Edwards and napping we headed over to my parents house. We ate dinner, opened presents, and then played with our cars that we got. It was nice to be able to just hangout there for a while and not have to rush anywhere else!

We went over to Andy's parents house after opening presents at our house. We ate a yummy breakfast, opened presents, and then relaxed for a little bit! It was so fun to watch our nephew and nieces, they are so cute!

The Eve of Christmas

Christmas Eve was so nice and I got to spend lots of time with my handsome hubby! We both worked until about noon and then we ran a few errands and had lunch together. Then we were able to just spend some time together! It was our year to go to my families for Christmas Eve so we went to my Aunts house and ate and played bingo! Oh ya and I beat Andy at Air Hockey! =) Not that we have ever needed a reason to kiss but their was mistletoe hanging over the stairs and everytime Me and Andy went up or down the stairs we would kiss under it, I loved it! Then we went home that night and cuddled and watched Heroes together! It was such a perfect Christmas Eve getting to spend so much time with the man I love!

This is the 3rd year that we have had a Christmas Party with my friends from High School! It is always a lot of fun and I hope that we always continue to have them! This year even some of our guy friends from high school were able to come because they were home from their missions! We ate chicken noodle soup and white chicken chili, made gingerbread houses, and then just chatted!

Here is all the girls together! It is crazy how much we have all changed since High School, I am glad we had this part so we could all get together since we all have so much going on! Amelia the lucky duck got to head to California the day after the party, Jessica has been working hard in school and is getting close to being done, Maurie will be leaving on a mission soon, I have gotten quite the basketball under my shirt, and Kara and her husband just bought a house! It is so fun to see all the directions our lives are going in and I am glad we are all still great friends!

I just wanted to write about how grateful I am for the amazing man that I married! Being married to Andy is more amazing then I ever could of imagined! He is the most caring person I have ever met! He is so patient and loving with me, I don't think I have ever heard him raise his voice and he very rarely gets upset at all! He works at the Veterans Home full time and then does Hospice when they need him to. I love going to visit him at work because he is so sweet with the Veterans and all their families tell me how much they love having Andy there! Andy truly cares about the Veterans he works with, He had a few days off over Thanksgiving and he was worried about "his" Veterans hopeing that they were being taken care of, He is so sincere. He works so hard for me and Baby Dayton too. Almost all his days off he picks up days at his Hospice Job not because we need the extra money but he says he wants to save some extra money for his baby. He loves Dayton so much already! I love when he talks to my belly and I will say something and he will tell me he is trying to talk with his son, which I don't mind if he doesn't want to talk to me cause I love to listen to him talk to Dayton! He gets so excited everytime he feels Dayton move too, That little boy already has daddy wrapped around his finger! Dayton loves Andy too whenever Andy gets out of bed for work in the morning, without fail Dayton will start moving around like Crazy! Andy is so helpful around the house too, there have been a few nights when I have been on my way home from work and feeling overwhelmed at how messy the house is and I will walk in and Andy will have the laundry done or will have cleaned the whole kitchen, It almost brings me to tears! Andy really likes to play video games but he is so good about making sure he spends more time with me then playing and even if he is playing and I want to show him some, usually all it is is a pin on pinterest but he will stop playing right away to look at what I am showing him! He is the sweetest guy and I don't think I could have married anyone more perfect for me! He is always making me laugh and I love being around him! I am so grateful for my sweet husband! I love you Andy Jay!!

The sure do love our trees but they make a mess! I really think there were more leaves this year than there were last year! The other day I got home from Church to find a blanket tent set up in our front room, with a "fire" going. Andy had set up a family home evening for us, and it was so much fun! We had some questions that we went back and forth and answered. Andy was such a sweetheart to set it up!

The other day I decided to give Robyn a little break and take the girls to the Tree House Museum! It was a lot of fun and it is a lot bigger than I remember from when I was little. The girls had a lot of fun, Addi was slower moving and liked to dress up and Oakley was faster moving and liked to run from one thing to another! Here are some pictures from the day!

I am excited for finally have some time to catch up a little on blogging! My boss at the complex was on maternity leave so I was working every night up there. So my life consisted of going to school two mornings and then straight to work. One day of going to my externship and then to cub scouts. One day I only had to work. Then one day of going to my externship and then going to work. Saturdays I would either work at the complex or the dental office or both. It was pretty exciting, the checks were nice, and kept me busy but I am excited to get to see Andy now! So there is my excuse for not blogging for a while =)

Are you pregnant?

This is me at 23 weeks and my belly has finally popped a little! I am finally to the point where people dare to ask me if I am pregnant. I really am enjoying pregnancy so far! I am now to the point in my pregnancy where little things can make me cry, and sometimes I feel like my emotions are out of control. I am glad for the most part its just silly things I cry over and I can usually control them. Here are two stories of my breakdowns (mostly so I can remember them):

The first one was when I was going through the stage where I was hungry ALL the time. It was late so I didn't want to run and get anything. Andy being the sweet guy he is started listing things we had that he could make for me. After about ten things that I said no to he asked about a can of corn. I decided that a can a corn sounds good. So as Andy was opening the can I started to cry and he asked why I was crying. Half laughing and half crying I said, I guess it's cause I am making you make me corn. We both started laughing after that, its crazy the things that can make you cry. I am glad most my crying is good or silly crying and not really upset crying.

The next story is the other day I started to get ready and tried on a bunch of things and nothing seemed to fit. I started crying and text my sister and Andy and said I am either to pregnant for half my clothes or not pregnant enough for the other time and I just look silly. Luckly after a few minutes I got over my silliness and got dressed and made it to work on time.

I just got to the point where I am so ready for Dayton to be here. Its funny you go from being so excited for them to come along with nervousness for them to come to being so ready for them to be here. I am sure I will switch back to being nervous for him to come when I realized how much I still have to do to prepare but until then I will just enjoy my anxiousness for my baby boy to get here!

Robyn and her Family welcomed baby Zoey to their family on October 25! She is so tiny and adorable!Her sisters both just adore he and Oakley loves being a big sister and is always trying to help out! Zoey is a pretty calm and laid back baby and we all just adore her!
I don't know how she does it but Robyn makes labor look so easy and I mean look at this picture she doesn't even look like she just had a baby! Zoey made her arrival so quickly that there wasn't even time for Robyn to get an epidural but she came through like a trooper! She is my labor idol haha Although I hope my kids don't come quite as fast as Zoey.

My dad text us that morning to tell us that Zoey had arrived. After I got that text Dayton started kicking like crazy. I think that he was missing his cousin and just wanted to go up and see her! I think they are going to be great friends!! We are all so happy to have Zoey here and I just can't get enough of her!

My family is a bunch of crazies normally so when halloween comes around we are even crazier and I love it! Halloween is my favorite holiday and I start planning out our costumes at least 6 months in advance. As you get older there aren't as many opportunities to dress up but luckily for me my mom's side of the family has a big halloween party every year and everyone dresses up. It was a lot of fun this year, just like every year! We ate and played some minute to win it games. Oh and we played my favorite game, eating donuts off a string. Sadly my camera died before I got pictures of everyone's costumes so here are the ones I got.

This is the "Controll" family. Austin was weight controll, Jacee was motor controll, Ann was static controll, Whitney was insurance controll, and Calvin was out of controll. There costumes are always so creative.

Here is the flying pregnant witch! Addi was Ariel but I didn't get a picture, and Oakley had the chicken pox so her and Cody had to stay home.

Me and Andy were Raggedy Ann and Andy. I have to say Andy is the best sport when it comes to costumes because he knows how much I love halloween. Andy even wore blush and long eye lashes for his costume. I have to say I am grateful for my sweet husband who is such a good sport.

Every year Andy, his dad, and Brother go to Red Lobsters all you can eat shrimp fest, this year we invited my parents to come. They couldn't bring out the shrimp fast enough for Andy. Andy won again this year! I ate just one more then my dad. It was a lot of fun, can't wait for next year! Oh and Heather don't worry you can come next year!

?Girl or Boy?

We made cupcakes to announce to our families what we are having! The batter would either be pink or blue and guess what!! It was blue! It was a really fun way to annouce it and our families loved it!

First, we went to my parents house and both my sisters were over there so it worked out great! We made them close their eyes because you could kind of see the color through the wrapper so here they are all waiting for their cupcakes.

Then they all got to take a bite!

And look to see the color!!

My dad was celebrating because he guessed right! My whole family guessed a boy except for Heather. This will be my dads first grandson and he is excited!

Look at how dang cute Addisyn is, even with cupcake all over her face. I think she was more excited for the cupcake then to find out what we have having. After she was asking me what his first name was going to be and I told her Dayton. Then I said Dayton Eli Edwards. Addi kept repeating it and then says "I don't think my brain will remember that so you will have to remind me" She is so funny, I sure do love her!

Then we went down to Andy's parents house and gave cupcakes to his parents. His dad was thinking there was a paper inside of it so he hurried and took two bites to get to "the paper" it made us laugh.

Andy's mom celebrating that she was right! All his family guessed a girl except for his mom. His dad was hoping for a boy so that is why he guessed a girl.

Parker just kept saying "Parker wants a cupcake" and "Parker have a cupcake" And don't worry he got one, after he ate dinner. Parker watched the ultrasound video with us and he was watching so intensely. He would say he's shaking the baby everytime the doctor would wiggle my belly and then he would laugh so hard and say Silly baby! He was so dang cute!

At our last appointment when I was only 11 weeks our Dr. thought it was a girl, but we were waiting for this appointment to know for sure. We look at the ultrasound and the doctor was like hmm....what is that, I think I might have lied to you last time. Then he kept shaking my belly to get the baby to uncross its legs. Then he said well that looks like a boy to me, I am sorry I was wrong last time. He said at 15 weeks he is pretty dang sure that its a boy. Then he was trying to get a picture for us, it was kind of funny most of the ultrasound was of the bottom half of our boy, but the doctor wanted to get a good shot so he could be sure. He tried later to get a picture to print off for us and said I can get one leg or two but not all three haha. Hopefully no one is offended by this next part of the story, sorry if so. Then when we were at my parents watching the ultrasound video and my mom says "what made him (the doctor) change his mind?" and only a second after my mom asked Heather says "probably the penis" It was so funny all of us busted up laughing!

15 Weeks

I debated whether or not to post these cause it just looks like a fat roll but its not, its really a baby bump. No one can really notice that I have a bump cause its so small but me and Andy can tell and when I am tired its bigger. But we are so excited for our baby to keep growing and for me to get a belly haha!

Andy's work is owed by Avalon and they have a softball tournament every year for all their facilites this year. Andy got to play in it, He wasn't way excited at first but after the first little bit he was glad he got to play. Andy never played softball a lot growing up but he is so good at it. He played in the outfield and got some people out and he did awesome batting and even got a triple! It was so much fun to go and watch him play and it was nice for him to get to relax and do something for him! It was single elimination and they did awesome! They played one more game then most the team and ended up playing the Salt Lake VA in the Championship game. Oh and they won!! Yaay!! So they get to have a traveling trophy at the Ogden VA for the year! Good job my little softball playing honey!!

Pregnancy Sympathy?

Or maybe just a bee sting? Andy had a cankle the other day from being stung by a bee, and my sister was teasing the cankle was just pregnancy sympathy for me. He was walking to the car and got stung, he didn't think a lot about it. The next night it was pretty swollen so his mom said he should go to instacare. He meant to text me but never actually sent the text, so I got home from work and called him to see where he was and he told me instacare, panicked me for a minute. Anyways the doctor said some bees inject bacteria into you and so it was infected. Andy got a prescription but it was two late to get it filled, so the next day at work it was so painful and swollen he had to come. He got the next day off and finally by the end of that night the swelling was going down and the pain was going away. I can't believe how swollen it got, but I am just glad it got better once he had taken the medicine for a couple of days! So watch out for those bees they are bad this year!

2nd Anniversary!

On August 13 Me and Andy celebrated our 2nd Anniversary! These last two years have been the best, I absolutely love being married to Andy! Andy really is the best husband ever and my best friend! Its hard to image on your wedding day that you will ever love them more then you do right then but I love Andy even more than I did then and I fall more in love with him everyday!In the two years we have been married we bought a house and are now expecting! I am so excited to start our family together! Andy thank you for working so hard to support us always and for loving me unconditionally! Thanks for a great two years, I look forward to spending eternity with you!! I love you Andy Jay Edwards!

Me and Andy both worked that morning and when Andy got off he brought me this beautiful flowers with a sweet note! It was so sweet!

Our trip to Disneyland back in May was for our Anniversary, then Andy planned a relaxing night for us! When we got off work we went to best buy and bought the movie grown ups, that is such a funny movie! Then we went and got Pasta bowls from Dominos (they are so delicious). Then we went home and ate and watched the movie and cuddled. It was the perfect night just relaxing and enjoying our time together!

A couple of weeks after we went camping with my family, we went with Andy's family up in the Uintahs! There was lots of 4 wheel riding and lots and lots of fishing! Andy caught 26 fish in those 4 days!

Family Campout!

Every year my Mom's entire side of the family goes up to Memorial Campgrounds for a weekend and its always tons of fun! I was bad about taking pictures this year but here is some that I did take! Also a few of us went tubing down the river, it was freezing cold but after a while your bum froze off and it wasn't to bad. Some people made like 5 runs down but I only made two and each time I popped a tube so I never made it all the way down! oops, luckily I have a sweet husband and cousin and each one of them got out one time with me to walk back with me! Andy went down every time and the very first time him and my brother in laws sister flipped their tubes and went all the way under! It was a lot of fun and I am glad we got to go.

Back in July or so Chick fil a had a dress up like a cow day! If you dressed up like a cow you got a free meal, a Whole meal for freeeeee! Well we love free things and we love chick fil a! I am so so glad that I have an amazing hubby who will do thing like this with me! We printed the stuff off chick fil as site and Andy put our ears on a hanger that we could put on our head. It was a lot of fun and delicious! Can't wait for next year when they do it again!

Last week at Webelos was so much fun the boys were working on their showman pin. They had to make two puppets and then sing a song with them. All the boys did such a great job, they were good sports. Me and Andy did one too, but we kind of cheated and we played music on our i pod for our song. It was such a fun night!

Another Proposal

If you haven't looked at the Dating Diva website yet, then you definately should! There are so many fun dates on that site and I am lucky to have a sweet husband who will do all the dates with me. Lately on their site they have been highlighting movies to make movie nights more fun. So I did a movie date for the movie The Proposal, some people may think its cheesy but we had a lot of fun renacting our proposal. I started by sending Andy a picture of us after he proposed with a message that said I "propose" we go on a date tomorrow night at 5:30. On My way home I picked up ABC mandarin (which is what we ate for dinner the night he proposed) to eat while we watched the movie.
Then we headed to farrs ice cream. Since we couldn't walk around the Ogden temple we went to a playground at an elementary by our house after.

This was the lamest playground ever, it seems like they tried to make it more like a piece of art then something fun. Poor kids that go to school there. I seriously thought, I wouldn't let my kids go to school here, cause they would be bored on their breaks.

Lastly we went to the Roy Aquatic Center where it all took place and we danced to our wedding song, just like we danced right before he proposed. Then I got down on one knee and clumsly got a ring pop out of my pocket that then got stuck in the wrapper and asked Andy to marry me, He said yes!! Andy did a lot better job at proposing then I did, haha but it was a really fun date!!! I love Andy so much, I am so glad he asked me to marry him and spend eternity with him!

Camp Kiesel

I know its a miracle, I am blogging about something that happened yesterday! How is this possible! Anyways....We took the webelos to camp kiesel, it was a lot of fun! Unfortunately I didn't charge my camera so I didn't get a picture of everything they did. Some of the fun things they did were bbguns and archery, and then they passed off a lot of other things. There were some empty bbguns with the last group of boys so they asked if any leaders wanted to do one, Andy had gone to get lunch ready but I decided I would. I haven't shot guns a lot and I couldn't figure out why I couldn't pull the trigger, the scout worker had to come tell me I still had the safety on and took it off for me, then he had to show me how to shoot it right haha I am definately not going pro anytime soon, but I did hit a few targets. The boys in our den were siting behind me and kept telling me I was wiggling to much, They are so funny. But we had a great time but there and it was nice to get to spend the whole day with Andy!

Green Thumb

We planted our first garden this last week. We were a little late to planting it, but had to much going on and figured we wouldn't be to far behind with how much rain there has been. Andy has such a green thumb, he loves plants and studies hortoculture (the study of plants) up at school. We already have the sprouts coming up from a ton of the seeds that we planted! I am excited for when more stuff starts to grow!

So me and Andy kind of raised 4 Robins this spring, Okay not really but we did see some hatch and fly out of their nest. The birds made a nest on our lights on our back porch. After the birds hatched the parents would freak out whenever we walked out on our back porch, they scared me. After they hatched they got so big so quickly I don't know how they all fit in the nest for so long. When the first one was ready to fly out me and Andy got to watch it, it more fell out of the nest then flew. The other three stayed in the nest for a while. I saw one other of the birds fly out of the nest and onto the fence. Despite how much the parents scared me when they would fly at me when I came out the door, it was really cool to watch them get bigger and fly out of the nest!

For family home evening the other night we decided to paint each others faces like they do at disneyland and lagoon and stuff, and it was so much fun! Andy did a great job and made me into a fairy. Our pathway is coming along, its now a pathway to no where instead of just a pile of pavers. Our plan is to eventually take it around to our back porch and around our vegetable garden that we now have in. Andy before his mission was really interested in landscape design and so he has a lot of ideas of the things he would like to do and I am really excited about them, He is so talented. So here is what we have done so far with our pathway, it doesn't look like a lot but it takes a while to dig everything up and level it out.

On Memorial Day my niece Addi called and invited me and Andy to go bowling. I told her I was have to call and ask Andy who was at work, So I did and of course Andy is always up for bowling. So I call Andy back and She answers and Says "what'd he say" and that he how she answered no hello just that haha. She is so funny. So we went and it was crazy busy, my dad couldn't even find a ball that his fingers would fit in because they were all taken. I kept trying to get him to knee down, spin the ball and then push it, like they do on the disney channel movie Alley cats strike back. He wasn't going for it (luckily he found one that fit by the second game). It was still a lot of fun though! Andy dominated us all like usual! The Burrows went too and it was a lot of fun to have them there with us too. Thanks to the rain both me and Paige ended up getting the day off so we could go. Thanks for inviting us Addi!

Last week my brother-in-law got married and their wedding was beautiful! They had their reception at the Ogden River parkway and it turned out to be such a beautiful day! I am so excited, Haley is such a sweetheart and I am excited to have her as a sister. Our Nephew was one of the ring bearers and he did such a great job and was so cute. Andy was a groomsmen and looked very handsome as usual. It was a very fun evening and I am so excited for them! Congrats Haley and Bryce!

Day 2-Relaxing

The second day we didn't have anything really that we planned to do and so we just got to relax, it was really nice. We started off by playing shuffleboard (aka scatterboard if you talk to me, cause I scatter all Andys pieces or because I am scatter brained and can't remember the real name ever) at our hotel in vegas, it is our new favorite game since we played on our honeymoon. Then we played ping pong, which was mostly me chasing the ball cause I am not very good. Then we checked out and headed to our hotel in Anaheim. After relaxing for a while in Anaheim we decided to walk to downtown disney and get all our shopping done for our gifts for our family. Then we headed back to our hotel and just watched tv, it was really nice to not have to do anything.

Pet Peeve.....

Sorry this blog has been pretty boring lately but I have to vent for a minute about one of my biggest pet peeves and just so everyone knows this is about no one in particular. I don't know what it is about me and Andy but we seem to attract really flaky people. So my biggest pet peeve is when people say they are going to come to something and then tell you right before they aren't coming or don't tell you at all. Now I understand that things come up sometimes right before and I understand that but some people do this A LOT. If you can't come or even if you don't want to, just tell us, its not like we are going to be mad. Me and Andy aren't perfect and have not been able to go to things that we were supposed to right before but we try our best to go to things if we say we are going to and we are working on realizing you don't have to go to everything and its not going to hurt anyones feelings if you miss things sometimes. Okay anyways now I am done venting on to more exciting things hopefully! =)

Day 1-Not our can of worms!

The first day of our trip to California we drove to Las Vegas. We decided it is definately not our can of worms, we just didn't like the atmosphere very much and my lungs are much happier in Utah without all the cigarette smoke around. We went and walked down the strip and we were getting so bored but couldn't check into our hotel until four so we kept walking until we finally found the Coke and M&M factory. We gambled a little too, but that wasn't for us either we just did it cause when we stopped in Vegas on our honeymoon I wasn't 21 yet. We didn't understand at first how the slot machines worked either since not you just print off a paper saying how much you win but finally we figured it out. Then we went to our hotel and got some pizza (we ordered from the same place on our honeymoon and it was really good, which was part of the reason we stayed in vegas again. Then we went swimming and the place we stayed at had a lazy river and a nice warm pool!

So I have been thinking about it lately and I will just never understand some things. I don't mean any of this to offend anyone just have been thinking about it.
~When people are struggling to pay their bills or complain that they never have money and then they still spend their money on things like having cable tv and internet and things they don't really need. I feel bad they are struggling with money but get rid of some of the unnecessary things that you are paying for. I think you need to be willing to help yourself first by seeing where you can cut things and then ask for first.
~Promise Rings. I guess it just the name of it that I don't like. Why do you need a ring to say that you are going to wait to marry them, can't you just show your dedication to them otherways. Plus a lot of times it seems like when guys give girls promise rings before going on a mission or something it ends up not working out in the end. Plus if you know you are ready to be married to them, then just propose. Just my opinion.
~Why cars can't take a minute and just pull over when a cop or ambulance is coming with its lights on and they just keep driving but slower, Really you can't pull over and stop for a few seconds?
There are just somethings I will never understand.....

We spent Easter with My mom's side of the family this year. I love family parties, first we had the traditional easter egg hunt for the kids. Then we usually do an egg roll (which I love) but because there are so many of us we have drifted away from that a little. So this year we were in partner and were throwing the egg back and forth and seeing how far apart you could get. By the end it just turned into us throwing the eggs at each other, it was a ton of fun. Who knew eggs could be so much fun?

We have a little garden in front of our house that had a bunch of little rocks in it and I really didn't like it and wanted to plant flowers in it even though it will be more work this way. My parents got dirt for their garden and had some left over so they gave it to us to put in that garden. So we cleaned out the rocks and then went to our favorite store lowes and got some flowers. It turned out really good, I love it!

We colored eggs with our friends Jessica and Donnie before easter and it was so much fun! I really enjoy coloring eggs for at least a few eggs. I can't do any eggs all the same color so thats why I can only do a few. Andy on the other hand doesn't appreciate egg coloring as me but he is still amazing and colors them with me! It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of laughs!

I only have a few more packets to go then a 300 hour externship. That's right 300 freaking hours!! I think its a little over the top but thats okay. My sister Heather started the program right after me and its been fun going with her. Andy has been great too, He comes in whenever I need a patient. Living at Lowes

We talked about tiling our bathroom and then we were at Lowes picking out tile. We decided that we would paint the bathroom to since the people who lived her before us didn't do a very good job. It turned out so awesome in the end and we love it.

Me and Andy Painted the bathroom and of course we can't do anything without making a mess so we got into a paint fight. It was a lot of fun, although I kept finding strands of hair with paint on them days later. We painted it Vanilla Brandy, What a pretty color name

Our Friends Jessica and Donnie came over to lay the tiles. After getting almost all the tiles layed the first night they realized they had poured and mixed the grout instead of the mortar so they had to pull up all the tiles and decided to wait until the next day to try again since it was already three in the morning. The next day me and Jess when shopping and waited a movie while the boys made their second attempt at laying the tile. In the End it looked beautiful! Thanks for your help guys! Then a couple days later me and Andy did the grout and the sealer and had our final project. Our next tiling project will be the kitchen but that might take a bit for us to get the courage to take that on. Oh and we were at Lowes so much that the girl working there said we were there more than she was, Its becoming our favorite store.

Cops and Robbers!

Last saturday at the Roy Complex there was a 5k and it was one of the most fun 5ks I have even been too, Partly due to the fact that I was not running in it =) It was a Cops and Robbers 5k. So the Robbers started the race and then 2 minutes later the cops (which were real cops) started. Any Robbers who beat all the Cops got a braclet that said I escaped Roy City Police and then all the robbers who came in after the first cop were given handcuffs. My boss is the one who planned it and she did such a great job, everyone loved it! So if you are looking for a fun 5k to do next year in April watch for flyers for this one! Andy ran in the 5k and did awesome!! He wasn't able to run much before it because of the rain, work, and school but he still did awesome! Good Job Honey!!

The other day I wanted to do something simple for Andy to show him how much I love him and am grateful for him. I was at Wal-mart just looking at the paint samples and some of them have such cute names. So then I started going through them and picking out ones that had a name on them about love or words like sweet, amazing, etc. Then I took them home and wrote a little note for Andy on each one that had something to do with the name. For example, there was one called The perfect white and I wrote on it about the day me and Andy got sealed together for eternity and both wore white. After I had written on each of them I hid them around the house for Andy to find when he got home from work. It was really simple but Andy really liked it and it was a different way to show him how much I care about him and it was really fun for me to write the notes to him. So the next time you are at Wal-mart take some of their paint samples and write some notes to your kids or hubby to let them know how much you care!

The other day I was calming getting ready for bed, checking that the doors are locked, and turning off all the lights, Right when I turn the corner into the hall way Andy jumps out at me. When he jumped out at my his phone flew out of my hand and down the hall. Andy just starts busting up laughing at how hard he scared me and that it was enough to make me throw his phone. Once my heart slowed down enough I grabbed my camera to take pictures of Andy rolling on the floor laughing, I have to admit it was pretty funny even though he scared me so much. I love it when Andy laughs really hard, he has such a cute laugh!

I am so lucky to have such a handy man around the house! He has done so much in our new house to make the changes we want. We got a gift card to lowes and we sure do love gift cars so we went and bought somethings to organize our laundry room, Andy helped me put the cabinet together. Then we also got a new toilet because if you have ever been to our house you know our old toilet made a really loud, annoying noise after you flushed it. Andy even put it in all by himself! Thanks for being so handy Andy! =)

When we got home from Logan we went to hangout with our Friends. We decided to go bowling at Weber. I warned them before we went that I get frustrated when I do bad at bowling. Once we got there we were only able to bowl one game because they were closing early due to spring break. It was one of the best games I have ever bowled but I have an amazing husband and he still beat me, but that's okay he knows I don't like him to let me win. We all had a lot of fun! After bowling we went and got farrs fresh ice cream and then went back to their house and watched Sherek Forever after. It was so good to hangout with them and a great date night!

Over Weber's Spring Break me and Andy had the Chance to go to Logan for a night and stay at the Anniversary Inn in the Lake Powell Room. It was such a wonderful get away! The Anniversary Inn is such a Romantic Place and our room was amazing! The bed was up on a loft and there were "twinkling stars" above our head. We have both been spending a lot of time at school and work and it was so nice to just get to spend time with each other! We didn't do anything to exciting but just relax and wonder around and stores. We were able to go to lunch with one of Andy's friends that is going to school up there too. It was really fun! Thanks Honey for a great couple of days!

A couple of weeks ago I went to watch my Cousin try to move up belts. He did awesome. I couldn't believe how much he had to remember, there's no way I could have remembered it all! Then at the very end he had to break boards with different kicks and um....chops haha. He did a great job, I was very impressed!

A week before that I went to another one of my cousin's choir concert and she sang a solo in it. She is such an amazing singer and such a pretty girl. Sadly I didn't get any pictures of her.

I am so glad that I am so close with all of my cousins! I have such amazing and talented cousins and I love them all!

A couple of weeks ago we decided it was time for a date night and it was my turn to plan it. So first we went and ate at Costa Vida in Clinton, and it was good but it still was not as good as Cafe Rio. That's what this picture is from and its the only one I took from our date. After that we headed to Classic Skating and Fun Center! It was so so much fun! I hadn't been there in forever and it made us feel like kids again. We played on the blow up toys that they had and it was so much fun just to play with Andy and have no stress. We skated for a little bit to but the older you get the weaker you ankles get I think. When they did the girls or guys choice skate and the people were waiting on the side to get choosen to go hold hands and skate and I told Andy it brought me back to my preteen years and Andy just laughed (He's so cute). After leaving there we went and got farr's fresh ice cream. It was such a perfect date, I love date nights with my hubby!

So this semester I am going to Weber and still going to the ATC, so its been pretty busy. I am also teaching the lifeguard class at the complex. This month has been pretty busy and I was doing great until this week everything seemed to start to hit me. My lifeguard class is not doing as I would like and school at the ATC is really hard this month. I have to keep my progress at the ATC so high in order to keep my finacial aid and because of the section I am on right now its hard to keep your progress up because there is not much you can do at home to help. So I have been stressing out this week about losing my finacial aid and having to stop the program. Then today I text Andy who is at work and ask him if he is starving cause he goes to school at 8am and then straight to work after and gets off at 10pm. He says no because he is fasting. I ask him what for and he says for me because of my stress with school and everything. It just brought tears to my eyes immediately. I really don't know what I did to deserve Andy in my life but I am so grateful I have him. He works so hard constantly and is always happy. He is always there supporting me. He always gives me priesthood blessing whenever I need him to and just always wants the best for me. I can't imagine being without him and I am so grateful that he is the one I get to spend eternity with. He is my best friend. I don't think I will ever know how I got so lucky and blessed to have him as my husband but I am sure grateful that I did.

Last night we were at cub scouts and we were playing a game which ended with 4 winners. Parents started to come pick up their boys while we were still trying to figure out who the ultimate winner was so I said the last one here was the winner. Well since we were at my house obviously I would be the last one here and the winner. So a group of boys go out to their parents cars and then there is still one car out there and three boys since there. We asked all the boys if it was their parent. There was one boy sitting on the couch and he said his mom got a new car and the other ones said no. So two of the boys walk out to see if they can see who is drive and its not their parents. Me and Andy are starting to think this is really weird that this car is just sitting in front of our house. I ask the boy on the couch again if he is sure its not his mom and finally he says, " Ya its my mom, I just wanted to win." Then he runs out. We all started laughing so hard. He knew the whole time it was his mom he just wanted to win.

Another thing I thought was funny was earlier in the night when we were teaching the boys the scout law which says: a Scout is trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. Right when Andy finished reading it one of the boys says nonchalantly "I am most of those." Just the way he said it was so funny. These boys are so wild but are so funny too. I am glad we get to work with them.

Andy is such a good cook and always happy to help cook or make dinner. Andy made this yummy breakfast on Valentines Day, there were also biscuits and gravy but they aren't my favorite. I have never liked valentines day much but I do have to say it was a good excuse this year to take off work and school and just spend a day with Andy.

A couple of weeks ago we went ice fishing with my father in law up at East Canyon. It was a lot of fun! They weren't biting as much as the weekend before my father in law had gone and he said it would have been more fun for me if they would have been biting more, but I was happy because I caught my first fish that wasn't at a fish farm! It was pretty exciting! It was pretty windy but we had huts to sit in so it wasn't to cold.

Family Game Night

For a while now we having been saying that my friend Maurie is mine and Andy's daughter. I can't remember why we even started saying it but the other night we were going to have friends over for a game night and Maurie was the only one who ended up being able to come so we had a "family game night".

January 19th was Andy's birthday and he turned 23! He's getting so old! We both took the day off so that we could spend sometime with one another and it was such a wonderful and relaxing day. First we went to breakfast at Beez's cafe and it was delicious! Then we went and saw the movie The dilemma and it was pretty good. After that we went bowling. Later that night our families came over for cake and ice cream. Happy Birthday Andy! Thanks for all you do! I love you!

I was really excited to give Andy his present because I actually came up with it on my own. He asked me if he could open it at Midnight so he did! First I gave him a bag and still had the big present in my car. In the bag was just marshmellows. Then I went out to my car to get his real present.

Double Date!

A little while ago we did a double date with two of of friends Brett and Alexis and it was a lot of fun! First we had lunch. Andy and Brett both served in the same mission in Germany so we have this thing that they eat over there. You have a bunch of meat,vegetables, and bread and put cheese and it and everyone has there our little slot that you put your tray in. I can't remember what it was called but it was really good. Then we played cranium! Sometimes the cheapest dates are the most fun! I hung out with Brett in high school and I forgot how funny it is to play games with him. Oh and by the way me and Andy are pro at games and won!

For My Birthday Andy planned a little getaway for us. It was the First day back to school so we couldn't run away for to long. We went and ran some errands so that I could get registered at Weber first and then we went and had chick fila,then we went to Fat Cats and played arcade games (I love arcade games). Then we went and got shakes from Dylans and then we went up to where we were staying. I didn't know where we were going and so I was so excited when we headed up to the Alaskan Inn! I have always thought it would be cool to stay there and now I got to! Andy made it such a great birthday, and it was so nice to get to relax with him! I am so grateful for such a sweet husband!

If you remember when we went to an arcade on our anniversary Andy won lots of tickets and this time was the same only he won more tickets, He is so pro at arcade games.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas, but a very busy Christmas! Andy worked 1o am to 2:30pm so we had to work in time with our families around that. We woke up bright and early so that we could open presents at our house before heading down to Andy's parents. After Andy's parents Andy had to head to work so I straightened up the house a little then went out to visit one of the veterans at Andys work. When Andy got off we went to my parents to open presents and then off to my grandparents for dinner. Andy worked a graveyard shift that night so after we got home from my grandparents he was off to work. We had a really go day despite how busy it was and it was so nice to get to spend time with our families and each other!

I really was excited, just a little tired too.

I absolutely love Christmas' with Andy! I had a cold so I kept getting up during the night to blow my nose and every time I would come back to bed Andy would ask me if it was time to open presents yet! He gets so excited like a little kids, except that he is mostly excited for me to open the presents he got me!

I told Andy to make sure to remember that my stocking isn't huge because last year he bought way to much stuff but I think it was me who needed the reminder this year.

I got home from work Christmas Eve and there was a package from Proflowers. I opened it up and there were these beautiful roses from Andy and the sweetest note. What I did to get so lucky to have such a sweet husband like Andy I don't know but I am sure grateful for him! I love him so so much!

So I took my ring into the jewelers to get its semi annual check and to get it redipped. Andy and I went back to pick it up when it was supposed to be ready and first the girl was really kind of rude, but we were walking out and I told Andy that my ring felt weird. So as we were driving I told Andy that I thought it felt really big. Andy tried it on because my ring doesn't fit him, well this ring that I had was big on Andy. Then we looked at it and it was sawttered (don't know how to spell it) together really badly. Andy said he didn't think it was my ring so we went back to find out what was going on. As we were heading back I asked Andy what I should say and he said "this isn't my ring" So we went back in and I asked the girl to see what size the ring was because it felt big. She said well they shouldn't have resized it. I said I know that they SHOULDN'T have. She dropped it on the ring sizer and said no it right it s a size 7 and I said well my ring is a size. She was being such a snob about everything. So then she went and called the guys who they send their rings too. She came back out and said the guy knew exactly what ring it was and he had my ring there with him, he had sent the wrong ring. Then the girl I guess decided she should be nice because it was their fault. I was then supposed to pick it up the next day, well when the time came that I was supposed to pick it up they then decided to call me and tell me I couldn't come get it until the next day. So finally I was able to go pick up my ring. It was quite the experience and quite the pain, but I am grateful that I have my beautiful ring back and that this is the only problem we have ever had with it!

We bought some insulation for under our house a few months ago. Andy and his dad worked on putting a lot of it in, then Andy did some on his own. We decided one monday that we would finish it up for our family home evening. It was really fun to do something like that with Andy and of course he makes everything fun!

Day 29 – Something you could never get tired of doing.

Obviously I could never get tired of spending time with Andy! But to be more specific I don't think I could ever get tired of wrestling with him. We like to play King of the bed and try to push the other person off the bed but still say on our self. It so much fun and I get laughing so hard. Despite me usually losing I think its so much fun but unfortunately it usually ends with me kicking Andy in the eye or head on accident.

Day 27 – A picture of you last year and now and how have you changed since then?This picture is from a year ago almost right down to the day.

This is a picture of my now.

I think some of the ways I have changed since last year is I feel more like a grown up now then I did before. I feel the weight of school and work more now and realize that I really have to work hard to make it through this all. This isn't necessarily a bad thing feeling more like a grown up. I feel like this past year I have realized more what things are really important to me. I have always loved Andy and my family so much but I think this year I have really realized how grateful I am for the gospel in my life and for the knowledge I have that I can be with them all forever. I have also learned that the little things don't matter as much as I used to think they did, and even though I still worry a lot I am getting better at not worrying about the small things. I think I have become more patient over the last year, I don't know if Andy would agree =) but I think so. One of the best things that I have learned this year and am still learning is that we don't have to go to everything. I have always felt like we have to go to everything that everyone invites us to and this makes for a very hectic life and often makes things more stressful then fun. I have a very supportive and close family so I like to be able to go to things when people invite us but sometimes it just isn't possible to do that and still stay sane. I am grateful to have a family who realizes that you can't make it to everything and doesn't get upset if you don't make it to everything. I am still working on this but I am glad that I have started to learn this. Wow, I didn't think that I had really changed that much this year but I guess that I have. I am glad for the changes that I have had in myself this year and for the things that I have learned.

Day 25 – What’s in your purse?

I don't really like this one but I can't think of anything else at the moment so I will do this one. There is a whole lots of crap in my purse. I have millions of receipts because I always say yes when they ask if I want one with the intention of budgeting but then I never do. I have lotion, my wallet, chapstick, tissues, a calendar, check book, inhaler, pen, and gum. So yep thats what I have in my messy purse.

1- Our first kiss was July 7, 2006.
2- We didn't decided that we were dating until after our first kiss.
3-We dated 8 months before Andy's Mission.
4- We dated 1 month after Andy's mission before we got engaged.
5- The day after Andy got home from his mission we kissed after not seeing each other for two years.
6-We have be married for 16 months and 16 days.
7- The first movie we ever watched together was Superman.
8- The last movie we watched together was Easy A.
9- We met working at the Roy Aquatic Center.
10- Andy sleeps on the left side of the bed and I sleep on the right side.
11- Both our Birthdays are in January.
12- Andy took me to my first dance in High School.
13- We have never flown in a airplane together.

Day 22

Day 22 – A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.
Since no one has hurt me recently I decided that I am going to write some of my "new year resolutions" These are just things that I want to work on, I am sure I won't completely change but I hope I can at least do a little better at these things.

1: Be on time more often. I have this problem where I think that I can get ready faster then I actually can which makes it so that I don't start getting ready. So I am going to work on starting to get ready earlier and being at least a few minutes early to things.
2: Keep the house from looking like its been struck by a tornado. I know that I won't keep it spotless but I want to work on putting things where they go and picking things up at night before we go to bed.
3: Go to the temple at least one a month with Andy. When we first got married we were good about going to the temple but then school started and life hit us and we haven't been as good. I want to pick a day at the beginning of each month and not let anything get in the way of us going that day.
4: Not worry about little things. This one is really more of a life goal. I always worry about little things that don't really matter or about things that would never really happen.
5: Let people know more often how I appreciate them and the things that they do for me.
6: Don't get on facebook as often.

Gold and Green Ball

A few months ago we had a Gold and Green Ball at for our ward. It was so much fun! The people who planned it put a lot of work into it! We also met a lot of new people since when they had it we hadn't been in the ward to long. I am not really sure why its called a Gold and Green ball but my mom said that they used to have them in my grandma and grandpa's ward. Here are some pictures of it that a guy in our ward took.

I learned that night that Andy is a pro at limbo, He beat everyone, even some of the young women girls that were there.

It was so much fun to get to go and to dance with Andy, you don't get the chance to do that very often and I loved it! I am glad that Andy is so much fun and wanted to go and danced the night away with me!
